    COMMITTEES

    There are four dedicated committees in the Association, which operate in the areas of its activity and in accordance with strategic objectives.

    REGULATORY AND TECHNICAL COMMITTEE

    Strategic objective

    Promotion of steel constructions through improving the national system of rating and standardization

    Areas of activity of the Committee

    • Harmonization and updating of Eurocodes and international and European standards related to steel construction

    • Development of national standards related to steel construction

    • Preparation of regulatory documents by classes of buildings jointly with the Steel Structures Fire Protection Committee

    • Introduction of BIM modeling into the regulatory field

    LOAD-BEARING STRUCTURES COMMITTEE

    Strategic objective To increase the share of load-bearing metal structures in the construction of buildings and structures

    Areas of activity of the Committee

    • Promotion of advantages of solutions with the use of steel

    • Regulatory support, improvement of the quality of use in the product market

    • Development and harmonization of management standards for the design, manufacture and installation of load-bearing structures

    • Development of information materials, workshops on design, manufacture and installation of load-bearing structures

    • Release of catalogs, publications and albums of standard solutions

    STEEL STRUCTURES FIRE PROTECTION COMMITTEE

    Strategic objective

    Reduction of the cost of fire protection of steel structures in Ukraine

    Areas of activity of the Committee

    • Revision of fire resistance parameters of building structures

    • Regulation: correction of DBNs by classes of buildings

    • Deregulation

    • Development and harmonization of standards (DSTU "Fire protection of building structures, materials and products"), amendments to DSTU B V 2.6-211

    • Introduction of critical temperature calculation into the design practice

    • Creation of a general education base in this area: preparation of publications and analytical reviews of fire protective materials

    • Holding seminars and round tables on fire protection of steel structures throughout Ukraine

    Head of the Committee: Kostiantyn Kalafat, Director of Kovlar Group, Head of the Passive Fire Protection Committee of the UUFTS, members of technical committees for standardization TC 25, TC 304, TC 168 at the Ministry of Regional Development of Ukraine, Section for Technical Regulation at the Ministry of Regional Development of Ukraine and the Public Council at the State Emergency Services of Ukraine. 

    ROOFING, FACADE AND LGSF COMMITTEE

    Strategic objective

    To increase the share of metal roofing and facade structures made in the construction of buildings and structures

    Areas of activity of the Committee

    • Promotion of the advantages of steel roofing and facade solutions in the target environment

    • Regulatory support (adoption of a law in accordance with the new Technical Regulation), improvement of the quality of products used in the market

    • Development and harmonization of standards. DSTU 8802: 2018 Production of thin sheet metal with a protective and decorative coating for construction was adopted. Plan: DSTU "DSTU B BV2.6-XXX "Wall panels of steel thin-walled cold-formed elements" General specifications

    • Development of standard solutions for fire protection of building made of with LGSF (up to the 2nd fire resistance degree) with the use of plate materials (joint project with the Steel Structures Fire Protection Committee)

    • Development of information materials on LGSF for the purpose of the creation of accessible and simple tools for LGSF designers: album of assortment of LGSF profiles (Z, C, U L, Ω, Σ, etc.) available in the Ukrainian market; album of standard connections for LGSF and recommendations for installation based on European practice

    • Holding workshops on LGSF designing according to Eurocode 3

    • Release of catalogs, publications and albums of standard solutions

    • Release of publications on composite reinforced concrete floors
