V.N. SHIMANOVSKY UKRAINIAN INSTITUTE of Steel Construction is an integrated research and design organization specializing in research and design of building metal structures. The Institute was founded in 1944 and has a 70-year history of successful activities in the construction market.
Over the years of the Institute operation, its specialists have developed more than 35 thousand projects of metal structures in 40 countries of the world including CIS and far abroad countries (Korea, China, Pakistan etc.).
The Institute specializes in the design of:
- SECs, hypermarkets, sports facilities
- Framework structures of manufacturing building of industrial facilities, hangars.
- Tower and mast structures of mobile communication, chimneys
- Bridges and bridge crossings, pipeline crossings
- Tanks, gas holders, silos and bunkers
Many landmark installations were built according to the Institute's projects, such as E.O. Paton Bridge, a 380 m high Kyiv TV Tower, the Motherland Monument in Kyiv.
Among the facilities of recent years, we can highlight the railroad complex Kyiv-Pasazhyrskyi, exhibition centers in the cities of Kyiv and Kharkiv, hypermarkets of building materials, shops for continuous steel casting at metallurgical plants, tank farms of the Odesa-Brody oil pipeline.
The Institute has designed or adapted projects for many sports facilities. Among them are the adaptation of projects of the Olimpiyskiy National Sports Complex and Arena Lviv, the design of Metalist stadium in Kharkiv and Dnipro Arena in Dnipro.
The Institute is a base organization of the Ministry of Regional Development of Ukraine and is actively involved in creating a regulatory framework for metal construction in Ukraine.
The Institute comprises the Brovary Metal Structures Plant which renders services for the manufacture and installation of various types of metal structures.
